Final Fantasy 16: Carrot Location and How to Beat

Carrot is one of the Notorious Mark Hunts in Final Fantasy 16.

Location: The Whispering Waters, Rosaria - only appears after accepting the side quest Please Sir, Can I Have Some Morbol

Reward: 20 renown, 10,000 gil

Combat Tips:

• Nothing much has changed since that first fight you had with the Morbol at the start of the game, but Carrot's 'Worse Breath' does big damage and covers basically the whole arena in one sweep. You need to dodge through this stream of noxious gasses in order to avoid it
• Carrot likes to burrow into the swamp and then pop back up in a different location, before lunging at Clive. This attack is easy to see coming, but there is a delay to the dodge timing that you need to be aware of
• Although it's not hard to avoid, you still need to be wary of Carrot's sticky puddles that are left after it uses Acid Rain. They'll slow you down and deal continuous damage, so try your best to weave around the puddles should the battlefield get busy with them
