The Breaker of Worlds, Atlas, is one of the Notorious Mark Hunts in Final Fantasy 16.
The Breaker of Worlds, Atlas
Rank S
Location: ??? - this mark is actually found in the most eastern point of Cressida, in Rosaria, in a circular arena surrounded by Fallen ruins
Reward: 50 renown, 20,000 gil
Combat Tips:
- Atlas is the toughest mark you'll have fought at this point in the game, so you might want to wait until later before taking it on, when you're a higher level and have better equipment
- Atlas hits like a truck, and the timing of its attacks can be difficult to pin down because there's often a delay
- If you're having trouble timing your dodges, you may want to make use of Titanic Block. Blocking can negate most of Atlas' normal attacks, but it can be broken by its more powerful energy-based moves
- Concentration is the key to this fight. Many of Atlas' attacks come one after another, so it may be a good idea to play very defensively at first and try to get a read on its patterns
- Some attacks are slow enough to a point where you can squeeze an Eikonic strike or two into your combos
- When Atlas is below half health, it'll start using a monstrous attack in which is swings a gigantic energy sword across the battlefield. It is possible to retreat far enough to avoid this swing entirely, but it's likely that you simply won't have time. Instead, you'll need to perfectly time your dodge as the swing is just about to connect, and pray that you get it right
