God of War Ragnarok: How to Beat Bjorn

Bjorn is the game's first real boss fight, and as such, he's designed to hammer home the basic combat techniques that you'll need to master. Bjorn is still a threat, though. This huge bear is relentlessly aggressive, and the battlefield isn't that big, so you can easily be pushed into a corner with little room to move.

And this is really the biggest problem you'll have to be mindful of. Bjorn's attacks are heavily telegraphed and quite easy to parry, but again, he almost never stops trying to claw your face off. Once you've got the attack patterns down, Bjorn doesn't have any surprises up his furry sleeve — the only other thing to watch out for is an unblockable charging attack that must be dodged. Fortunately, it's a very linear attack, and you should definitely see it coming.

If you do get hit, there are a bunch of healthstones littered around the arena. Just be careful not to make a reckless dash towards one, because there's every chance that Bjorn will launch into another series of attacks when your back is turned.
