Einherjars are humanoid grunt enemies that tend to wield simple, one-handed weapons. They're a little tougher than other basic foes — they can be quite aggressive, so keep that shield up — but they shouldn't cause too many issues unless they manage to surround you.

As is the case with other humanoid grunts, fighting Einherjars barehanded is a decent option. They stagger fairly easily, and then you can take care of them quickly with a stun finisher.

Tactically, the only thing you really need to keep in mind is that Einherjars can come equipped with bifrost shields. In order to break a bifrost shield, you either need to deal a lot of damage (which isn't recommended, since Kratos will end up covered in the stuff), or simply shield smash a defending enemy.
