Horizon Forbidden West: Does It Have Multiplayer?

Is there multiplayer in Horizon Forbidden West? Does Horizon Forbidden West have online co-op? You may be wondering whether this game has any sort of multiplayer functionality. Horizon Forbidden West: Does It Have Multiplayer?

As was the case with the previous game in the series, Horizon Zero Dawn, Horizon Forbidden West does not have any multiplayer components. The game doesn't feature any online multiplayer, and there's no co-op multiplayer either — online or local.

This is a single-player only open world RPG that can be played in its entirety without an internet connection. Because there's no online multiplayer, you don't need a PS Plus subscription, either.

We suppose it is possible that Horizon Forbidden West could be updated in the future with some form of multiplayer DLC. Another Sony first-party game, Ghost of Tsushima, launched with no multiplayer, but was quickly updated with Ghost of Tsushima: Legends, an online co-op mode. Given Sony's push for more online multiplayer titles in its wheelhouse, it's not outside the realm of possibility that developer Guerrilla Games might have something in the works for Forbidden West. We'll have to wait and see.
