Gizmo made his debut in the movie Gremlins, a comedy horror about cuddly creatures that have the potential to turn nasty. Other important notes are to never expose mogwai to sunlight, as it'll kill them, and to never get them wet, as they'll rapidly multiply. How Do You Win as Gizmo in MultiVersus?
Gizmo is best suited to supplementing his allies with some interesting setups. One of the simplest examples is the combination of his arrows and his popcorn projectile. Send out the popcorn with his Up attack and then shoot it with an arrow to explode it, dealing damage. However, if you shoot it with a fire arrow, the popcorn will explode with more force and in the direction away from you, which can be great for knockouts. Gizmo is all about these interplays between his various moves.
Another example: the popcorn will magnetise to Gizmo's toy car. The car is a great way to move quickly around the arena, and it'll "pick up" any popcorn. If you then hop out and shoot an arrow at the car, the popcorn will explode, making it a sort of mobile bomb.
Something important to note is his moves that build Music. The Music effect builds towards Silenced, which is a state that means an enemy temporarily cannot use any moves with a cooldown meter. It's good to work this into your playstyle, using the Down attack and Neutral Special to spit out musical notes.
Gizmo can directly interface with an ally too by latching on like a backpack. While in this state, you have access to most of your moves, so you can add more punch to your teammate's offence.
Gizmo also has great recovery with his umbrella, on Side Air Special. Hold it down and he'll perform a generous glide, so you can get back to the stage easily.
