What difficulty should you select in Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart? There are four difficulties for you to select in Insomniac Games' action platformer, and you can adjust these at any time without penalty. As part of our Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart guide, we're going to answer the question: what difficulty should you select?
Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart: What Difficulty Should You Select?
Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart has four different difficulties for you to select: Rookie Recruit, Rebel Agent, Resistance Leader, and Renegade Legend. These are officially described as follows:
- Rookie Recruit
- Perfect for beginners and casual heroes that want to focus on the story.
- Rebel Agent
- A balanced choice for more experienced players.
- Resistance Leader
- For those who seek a greater challenge, requiring faster reflexes against tougher foes.
- Renegade Legend
- For who wish to battle the most brutal foes in any dimension!
If you're familiar with shooters, we'd recommend playing on Resistance Leader difficulty, as Rebel Agent tends to err on the easier side. If you're really not good at shooters and don't want to die, Rebel Agent may be a good fit, but it is fairly easy overall. Renegade Legend is pretty punishing, and will be the ideal choice for players looking for a challenge.
Remember, you can change difficulty at any point during the game, so if you're finding the game too easy or too hard, simply select Options > Settings > Game > Difficulty.
