In order to enter Cheat Codes in Red Dead Redemption, begin by pausing the game to bring up the Pause Menu. Then you can then scroll down to Options and select Cheats. From here, a text screen should warn you that activating Cheat Codes will disable Trophies and deactivate Autosave. Now press the Triangle button to enter a Cheat Code. If you are successful, you'll receive a congratulatory pop-up afterwards. Once you've entered a Cheat Code, you can simply head back to the Cheats screen in the Pause Menu and toggle it on and off.
