Can you kill Lady Dimitrescu in Resident Evil Village? Much like Mr X in Resident Evil 2 and (not so much like) Nemesis in Resident Evil 3, the towering female that is Lady Dimitrescu will hunt you down for periods of Resident Evil Village. Therefore, you may be wondering if you can simply kill her and not have to worry about the 2.9 metres tall monsters. Resident Evil Village: Can You Kill Lady Dimitrescu?

Simply put, you cannot kill Lady Dimitrescu until you progress the story enough to where she transforms and a boss fight ensues. When she is chasing you throughout Castle Dimitrescu, she cannot be killed. Your bullets may stagger her for a moment or two, allowing you to slip away, but she can never be downed permanently. Also, she does not drop any items when staggered like Nemesis does in Resident Evil 3. You would simply be wasting your bullets if you try and take down Lady Dimitrescu permanently before the story allows you to do so.

Resident Evil Village: How Do You Stop Lady Dimitrescu from Chasing You?

If Lady Dimitrescu has spotted you and is now chasing you, we recommend running away at top speed and creating distance between yourself and her by passing through multiple rooms. Due to her height, getting through door frames presents a bit of a challenge for Lady Dimitrescu and so you can get away from her while she bends down to get through a door. That won't end the chase completely, but it does give you a bit of a time buffer. You'll then want to extend that further by passing through more rooms until she loses sight of you completely. She will then go back to her normal AI pathing and you'll have gotten away.

Resident Evil Village: How Do You Avoid Lady Dimitrescu?

If you see Lady Dimitrescu or hear her coming, hide either in the room you're in or vacate it to another place. Another good tactic to employ is to get behind her — she doesn't seem to notice you, especially if you're crouched. Of course, shooting your weapon will attract her so try not to do that too much. You also don't want to be caught out in tight spaces. Her claws deal a lot of damage and so if you don't have any room to get around her, you're bound to be hurt sooner rather than later.
