So the rumours were true: Sony has revealed The Last of Us: Part I, a remake of Naughty Dog's classic set to launch on PlayStation 5 and PC.
The game launched on 2nd September 2022, becoming the third version of this particular game, having started life on PS3 before getting a remastered release on PS4. It's important to note that this new PS5 release is described as a remake, rather than a remaster, meaning that it's been rebuilt to truly live up to modern standards – you can view some screenshots to see the differences for yourself.

Would fancy that Firefly Edition if it surfaces in UK or Europe
As of 7am, Saturday 11th June.
UK
ShopTo.Net £65.85
Base.com £63.85
The Game Collection £60.95
Game £69.99
I am also holding out for a Firefly Edition here in the UK, but I don't expect it to become available.
I'll probably pre-order from The Game Collection, but they now charge your card straight away instead of on release so I'll wait for a bit on this one.
Is it worth the price? Yeah, probably. Hopefully after this they for something special for Part 2 on PS5. 60FPS is nice but there's headroom for more.
I bought a PS3 late in that generation just for TLOU, TLOU:R was the first game I bought for my new PS4. TLOU2 was one of the last games I bought for PS4. I didn't care at all for the "outrage" a couple of years back. It didn't at all feel genuine. Not that I'm saying there aren't some genuinely held beliefs about it, but none of it started from a genuine place. It was political in nature, for a series that's apolitical.
I'm so glad that nonsense hasn't slowed them down.
