The New PSP Won't Have A UMD Drive, Apparently.

Writing on his Twitter and Facebook accounts he claimed:

"I hear Sony FINALLY has the PSP 2. And thank goodness, they've removed the stupid battery-sucking UMD disc drive. I'm excited!"</blockquote>

If true, then it's likely all future PSP games will be downloaded from the Playstation Store and saved to memory sticks or perhaps an internal hard drive. It sounds like the right move to make.

Given the amount of news on PSP games and rumours in the past few weeks we're starting to believe that PSP2 is a reality. Expect something at E3.
