Sony To Make A Global Announcement This Tuesday.

Not mean anything to you? It's the end of Sony's fiscal year. It's where they look at all the profits, look at all the losses and start again. Both Kotaku and Smarthouse have received word from the international powerhouse that an announcement regarding the Playstation brand is imminent.

The rumour is that the Playstation 2 is going to go down in price, to $99 in the USA (£69) — but it's entirely possible anything could happen. We're going to assume it has something to do with the price of any of the three Sony consoles though.
