Criterion Don't Reckon Any Console Has Been Maxed Out.

Remember when a VP over at EA thought the XBOX 360 was "maxed out"? And remember how developers always spout the "we're using 100% of the Playstation 3's power" line to make their games sound better? Yeah well, Criterion say it's "proof that you're not the best," and that "it means you're out of ideas.

"You always find new ways to do things, the constraints lift. Not just with a new console generation but with every game you do. ... The constraints go away because you learn. While it's nice to say you've maxed something out, there's not really any point."

Seeing as Burnout has been striding forward with every new release, we can kinda see where the Criterion boys are coming from.
