This news brought with it a ton of speculation that The Agency was in a state of disrepute and on the verge of cancellation. Thankfully, those rumours have been quashed.

Joystiq have just posted an exclusive report with SOE's president John Smedley who assured there is no danger to The Agency project.

He said that the game was still on track for next year and while he didn't want to give a more precise date, he claimed that "this rumor going around that we're going to cancel it — [is] ridiculous".

Proof enough for us, that The Agency is still a beaming light in Sony's Playstation 3 releases list next year. We can't wait.
