They might still be losing money, but Sony's turned the costs of their system around in record time. It's actually fascinating.
Last December the company were estimated to be losing $37 per system, so it's only a matter of time before they hit the green. Of course, by the time they hit the green it might be time to move again. Still, Sony are staying positive, estimating they'll turn a profit on hardware in 2011.
The PS3 Slim has put Sony in a competitive position in recent months. Hopefully these internal price-reductions will ensure they can stay competitive.
