Honestly, it was designed that way. But if you're frightened about messing with electronics yourself, and you want someone within Sony to handle the pressure - then you can. But only in Japan. For the costly price of ¥18,000 (~$184), Japanese players will be able to send their PS3 directly to Sony who will upgrade the system's hard-drive to a 250gb one, and move all the content of the previous drive across. They'll then send your system (and old hard-drive) back to you. Job done.
<span>It's a great idea but the price is ridiculously steep considering the drives are like $50 alone. Still, we like the principle of getting an "expert" to handle electronics. We always scare ourselves touching things that look like they should be on the inside of a system.
