Activision Expect Sony's Install Base Will Jump Further Than Microsoft's Over The Next 12 Months.

Well, certainly over the XBOX 360 anyway. Their predictions show that they expect the Playstation 3 install base to jump by 9 million in the coming year, while they expect the XBOX 360 will manage just 8 million. Likewise they think the Wii will shift 12 million, and the handhelds (that's presumbably all the permutations of the DS and PSP) 18 million or more.

It's an interesting insight from the company who once said they would consider not making Playstation 3 games, and certainly a sign at how Sony's turned things around in the past 6 months. Long may the momentum continue.
