But just how accurate is it? Sony's senior researcher, Dr. Richard Marks, has likened it to $100k surgery devices. At least - that's according to surgeons the Eye Toy creator has spoken to.
"I was talking to some surgeons. They were talking about laparoscopic surgery simulators," Marks told Videogamer.com, "They were saying this feels very much like their $100,000 simulators do for surgeons and they'd much rather do something at a lower cost."
Marks went on to stress once more that such accuracy does not have to be limited to casual games.
"The focus is across the whole spectrum of PlayStation owners so it adds a very good casual control to our system but also because it has so much fidelity and precision it can do a lot of core experiences as well," explained Marks. "It's really intended not to just be for one audience."
Videogamer's got a full interview with the fascinating Dr. Marks through here. He's always worth listening to, simply because he's such a humble but passionate character.
