The Dude With The Hammer's Heading To The PlayStation, Yo.

If Thor: The Video Game isn't the perfect place to try and imitate the God Of War formula, we don't know what is.

The game will take players on a journey involving an array of enemies from Norse mythology. Thor will be able to use his hammer to command a series of elemental powers including lightning, wind and thunder.

“We are proud to be bringing Thor to his first solo video game adventure”, commented Gary Knight, senior VP of marketing at Sega.

“Thor: The Video Game will finally bring the immense power of this iconic hero to lifelong fans, and introduce the God of Thunder to a whole new audience as a true Marvel Super Hero.”

The game's headed to both the PlayStation 3 and PlayStation Portable. Apparently the PSP version will opt for comic book-style visuals, while the PS3 SKU will have a more cinematic format.
