In their latest quarterly financial report - dating April through June - Capcom blamed the slow growth of Lost Planet 2 which put their net sales down 2.4% year over year. Net income dropped an astounding 90% from last year to around 213 million yen ($2.5 million US).
Capcom cited that titles such as Super Street Fighter IV had steady growth, while Lost Planet 2's performance was "sluggish". The company also noted "shrinking" markets in the US and Europe "under the stagnating economy," as well as inconsistent exchange rates.
