After months of slagging off various PlayStation shooters, and tipping the upcoming Bodycount as the next big-thing, Codemasters has confirmed that Stuart Black - the dude behind the PS2 shooter Black - will be leaving the company in October. Bodycount, which was seen by many as a spiritual successor to Black, will not release until early next year.
"Having created a great vision and direction for Bodycount, Stuart has decided to move on after three years with us," said a Codemasters rep.
"He will see out his design role until October and, through the transition period, will continue to work with the talented development team that will take the game through to completion."
Strange. We reckon there's a bit more to this than meets the eye. For the sake of drama, we're curious to know what's really happened behind closed doors. Bodycount didn't look too hot in its debut trailer.
