This Is Vegas Cost $50million To Not Finish.

We vaguely remember This Is Vegas. There was a bit of a push behind it at E3 2008, but by the time this website launched (in January 2009) things had gone quiet for the Midway published game. To be honest, we'd forgotten about it. So it's been weird seeing rumours pop-up all over the Internet this week regarding the projects status — apparently it's been cancelled. Nev-err.

According to CVG, the game is officially dead. Most interestingly, the website reports that during its long development cycle, This Is Vegas sapped over $50million from its publisher. $50million! They could probably just about make a Shenmue sequel on the Wii with that much money.

Thankfully, Warner Bros (who took over Midway) closed down the project quietly before it sapped any more money from them. Imagine: $50million on This Is Vegas. Whatever next?
