RAGE Will Be Bringing Its Mega Textures To PS3 Late In 2011.

During QuakeCon last night, id committed to a September release date for the post-apocalyptic shooter. The game will hit North America on September 13th, 2011. Europe will have an extra two day wait, as it'll hit store shelves September 15th there.

RAGE has been a long time coming, but we suppose when you're creating super-duper-mega-engines like id Tech 5, that's to be expected. Despite the post apocalyptic setting getting a bit predictable, we're quite looking forward to RAGE. Thank goodness it's not another modern day military shooter at least. There are monsters and you shoot them in the face. Awesome.

We're sure we'll be seeing plenty more of this over the coming 12 months.
