We don't know why we ever doubted Zipper's ability to create a good, third-person shooter, but we did — and for that we're sorry. This footage is taken from Zipper's behind-closed-doors GamesCom presentation, and they're sharing it with everyone to celebrate the franchise's 8th birthday. It's a wise decision; SOCOM 4 may well be hovering under the radar right now, but it really shouldn't be. Visually it looks superb, and we're liking Zipper's approach towards narrative and action.

The footage is well worth checking out, even if you don't think you're going to like it.
