Need For Speed: Hot Pursuit's Autolog Feature Looks Absolutely Brilliant.

Technically Need For Speed: Hot Pursuit and Gran Turismo 5 are completely different games; but if GT does get pushed away from Criterion's arcade racer, we have to imagine they'll stand to gain.

That's a good thing because Criterion make amazing racing games and Need For Speed: Hot Pursuit sounds properly incredible. Perhaps the most exciting feature of the game is "Autolog", the game's community component detailed in the trailer after the jump.

Of course, Gran Turismo 5 could also land day and date with Hot Pursuit. We're assuming Criterion are huddled around each other praying that doesn't happen.
