The service will be accessible from the XMB and will stream thousands of movies from the console instantly, with movies from big studios and lesser indie flicks.
Existing customers will also be able to manage their Blu-ray and DVD rental list from the application.
Sony seems to be leading the charge for living room domination here in the UK at least. They already run their own video delivery service, aswell as music streaming application VidZone and the BBC iPlayer. With LOVEFiLM, Mubi and the ITV Player all on the horizon - and PlayTV already available on store shelves - the PlayStation 3 is easily the defacto under-the-TV box. It only does everything.
