The title overthrew its predecessor to take the crown, falling just short of records set by Modern Warfare 2 and Grand Theft Auto IV.
Unit sales are up 21 percent over the previous title, with revenue up 36 percent. Basically it's making lots of money for EA.
Sports Champions managed to hold onto its spot in the top ten, closing seventh. Dead Rising 2 stayed in third place while F1 2010 fell to second.
