"Fore!"

We were pretty pleased with John Daly's ProStroke Golf's fine motion controls, though less so with its presentation, and now anyone who's been putting off getting to grips with the Lion can get a slice of the game with a free demo, available across Europe today.

The demo offers several single-player modes, with nine holes in total to practise your driving, chipping and putting, and the tutorial mode to help you grip it and rip it.

If you like the freebie, be sure to read our John Daly's ProStroke Golf review to find out if the full game is worth your hard-earned cash.

O-Games today announced that a playable demo of its critically-acclaimed PlayStation Move-compatible golf title, John Daly’s ProStroke Golf, is available to download today via the PlayStation Network. PlayStation 3 gamers who have yet to experience the title’s innovative implementation of Move motion control technology will finally be able to sample for themselves why John Daly’s ProStroke Golf offers an unrivalled video game golf experience.

The PSN demo provides a single-player Quick Game over three holes (Par 3, 4 and 5) at The Belfry’s Brabazon course or Mystic Rock. PlayStation gamers will also be able to take on John Daly himself in a three hole Driving Challenge, plus the interactive tutorials feature narration from John Daly designed to help gamers master four crucial aspects of the game.

Starring John Daly, the celebrated PGA veteran, ProStroke Golf features the return of the unique and critically acclaimed ProStrokeTM control – presenting a first-person view of the ball and club head, giving you the closest thing to playing real golf at home on your console or PC.
