Can't Wait to play Sly Cooper!
If only we could actually pick them up. Im guessing Black Ops is the cause but we cant get these game until tomorrow
I was about to place my order for Sly Cooper but it's back ordered. I'm sure I'll have it soon enough.
That's rubbish! I'm surprised Sony released three big titles on the same day as Black Ops to be honest. What's up with that?
@James: They're either super confident that not all of the games cater to the same market (a definite possibility), or they're crazy (also quite possible). I know I could not care less about Call of DooDoo, but I've been looking forward to The Sly Collection.
"On the same day" is a bit misleading anyway. The Sly Collection wasn't street dated, and my reserved copy wasn't in the store when I tried to pick it up yesterday. Hopefully, it'll be there when I get off work this afternoon.
Not sure what you mean by "wasn't street dated" - it was announced for November 9th last month. I think you're spot on though that they're not all for the same audience - they couldn't be more different!
Does the street date system not exist in the UK? In America, there's a difference between a "street date" and an announced release date. A street dated game arrives in most stores a few days before they can start selling it, to make sure everybody has it at opening on release day (or for the ever-popular midnight launches). A game with a simple release date, on the other hand, comes with no such guarantee. Since most games ship from the west coast, it's common for them to not arrive in stores on the east coast until the following day.
Anyway, I did get my copy today.
Got mine as well
The strange thing is that most all games are available to pick up on Tuesdays now. The Fight was suppose to be available yesterday as well and it wasn't. I think it was the masses going for CoD Black Ops.
I for one love both CoD and the likes of Sly Cooper.
It says in stock November 14th on Amazon.
Over here, if someone says a game is released on November 12th, you walk into a shop on November 12th and the game is there. We do use the term "street date" but it's interchangeable with release date.
So basically if you guys quote a release date, that's just the first potential day you might see it in shops and is no guarantee it'll actually be available on that day? That's a great system
