That's according to a CESA survey which polled 1,000 Japanese gamers on the final day of TGS. The survey found that the PS2 is still the most used piece of video game hardware in the country. Sony's ancient system stole 70% of the votes.
The system actually dropped from its commanding position of 78% of the votes last year, but it still reigns supreme over the PS3, Wii and XBOX 360. Of course, Japan's love for handhelds meant the DS and PSP were in a closely locked battle with 68.7% and 68.6% of the votes respectively.
Did you know that the PlayStation 2 is over ten years old now? Ten years old. Ten.
