Could Nathan Drake Take A Short Detour Through London During Uncharted 3?

We know that. But Naughty Dog's never been the type of developer to set a game in one specific place. The Uncharted franchise is known for its globe-trotting (perhaps loved all the more for it), and in the game's debut teaser trailer, there certainly appears to be a number of hints that the UK is on Nathan Drake's agenda.

Perhaps the most obvious hint is the appearance of a crisp £20 note when the trailer's camera pans across a desktop of objects. Who needs a £20 note if they're not heading to the UK? The table-top also boasts a mug bearing the words "Rapscallion Cafe". Forgive us for drawing wide assumptions, but that name does invoke British connotations.

Perhaps most importantly is the nod to Bartram Thomas, Harry St John Philby and Sir Wilfred <span>Thesiger — three legendary British explorers. The three adventurers all made crossings of the Rub Al-Khali, something we know Nathan Drake is going to imitate in Uncharted 3.</span>

There are other British hints in there: a London telephone number and recognition of the British army officer, T. E. Lawrence — or, Lawrence Of Arabia. All of which lead us to believe that Drake will make a short detour through London before he arrives in the sands of the Arabian Peninsula. Expect Naughty Dog to stay hush-hush about this, but we're pretty certain it's going to happen.

Very exiting indeed.
