Argh, dammit! I really want the Helghast Edition, but I really would like to buy from somewhere other than HMV.
If I had endless money to throw away then I still dont think id want this. No Offence but it lets you cheat, and gives you a big hunk of plastic that will get thrown away or sold in a garage sale and it gives you a dynamic theme (worth $3 canadian, not sure how much it costs in UK) HMV was likely the only UK retailer that wanted to sell such bogus to their customers. I say this only because I am strongly against overpriced garbage being bundled with collectors edition, My Idea of a collectors edition is that every bit of DLC released in the future is free for those who own collectors edition, the rest of us Pay $10-15 per pack and end up spending more in the long run if we didnt buy collectors edition.
Already pre-ordered mine from Amazon. I hate to spend so much but I love collector's editions. I mainly want the game in steelbook packaging, the art book, and the helmet.
only posting link to proove a point, Look how many master cheif helmets are for sale on ebay http://shop.ebay.ca/?_from=R40&_trksid=m570&_nkw=halo+3+legendary+edition+helmet&_sacat=See-All-Categories your wasting your money if you buy this.
Wow, this is a lot of stuff extra. The 100 page art book is something that could very well end up a nice collectors item to sell at a higher price in the future and then the soundtrack, etc. If this was in the $99 range it would be really tempting.
It is exciting that it is not long now until the late February release date of Killzone 3, although I doubt that I will be able to afford £112.33 for the luxury of this ultimate edition, especially as I will be putting aside my pennies for a 3DS. As @slapshot82 says the hardbound art book will be interesting and the exclusive Helghast scout figurine looks cool, although I think that you could buy a basic Helghast scout figure separately.
With Dead Space: Extraction arriving as part of the Dead Space 2: Collector's Edition at the end of January and Killzone 3 being released a month later, there will be some top-class sci-fi shooting heading Move's way in early 2011.
