Could We Get News About Lightbox Interactive's Warhawk Follow-Up Soon?

It's nothing to worry about, the studio hotly believed to be working on a successor to Warhawk — tipped to be called Starhawk — often drop off the radar, before making a dramatic reappearance like a bumped-off soap star. Today just so happens to be one of those days where Jobe reminds us all that his studio are working on a new game. He wrote on Twitter:

"Last couple weeks have been spent cranking on builds for Sony," he said. "Lots of good play-tests and game improvements.

"Keeping the new game under wraps for this long is tough, and very hard on our fans. But will be worth it all in the end!!

"Fans deserve real game footage and not a BS pre-rendered trailer. That's tricky 'cause pre-rendered trailers are much 'safer' to do.

"But all the investment and time in the game itself is ultimately the right direction. For the product and for the fans!"

Warhawk's one of the more under-rated PlayStation 3 exclusives in our opinion. It took us some convincing before we dropped the dough on the downloadable shooter, but after a lengthy learning period, we've never looked back. Some rumours suggest that Starhawk may be an NGP title, but we're pretty confident it will be on PlayStation 3. The game's touted to have MMO hooks too. We're guessing it's going to be revealed at E3.
