Dance Games: The Worst Idea Since Strategy Games.

DJ Hero might be dead. But Kotaku's reporting that Activision's working on a new game called Dance Hero. We don't know why we didn't call it earlier — of course they are.

It just makes too much sense. All the elements align. Despite the lowering demand for plastic instrument games, the dance genre seems to on the rise. To our dismay, anyway. Both Ubisoft and Harmonix have had enormous success with Just Dance and Dance Central respectively. Even Sony's had a go with SingStar: Dance.

We sense the dance genre is just a few releases away from crumbling under the weight of its own success like every other music game genre before it. But right now, of course Activision is making Dance Hero. This ain't no rumour, yo.
