We haven't been convinced by the title's combination of first-person shooting and vehicular combat in the past, but it's slowly starting to win us over.

There are not enough car combat games. Our initial distaste for RAGE's vehicular combat stemmed from the assumption that it would amount to nothing more than "a couple of driving missions". But that doesn't appear to be the case at all. RAGE's car combat looks like a properly fleshed out component of the game. And that spells fun.

Unsurprisingly, the first-person shooting looks great too. This is an id game, so we're not expecting anything particularly unique in this area. But some of the guns featured in this trailer look super-satisfying.

Oh, and the whole thing looks visually amazing. Like proper eye-socket popping stuff. Impressive.
