Prestigious UK industry magazine Develop has announced the list of nominees for its upcoming awards ceremony, and PlayStation Move is up for the Technical Innovation category where it competes against Kinect for Xbox 360.
One of Move's biggest successes so far, Killzone 3 is also up for a well deserved Visual Arts award, and Ubisoft's Michael Jackson: The Experience is nominated for Best Use of a License or IP.
Will PlayStation Move defeat Kinect in the Technical Innovation category? We'll find out on 20th July.

While so far I'm not really interested in the games for the Kinect, I got to believe that Kinect is the clear winner over Move if the category is Technical Innovation.
@din_djinn... Really? Just curious why you seem to think that? Kinect has found itself held up by its own limitations, and rumors of the Kinect 2 are already floating around.
The Move can do TRUE 1-1 Movements. It's not a what-if, maybe it can, we'll find out one day. It works!!!
The Move Rocks and the games will continue to change everything...
Don't get me wrong, I like the Move, but is it really a Techincal INNOVATION? It seems more like an improved Wiimote, whereas Kinect is something all together new. Does it have limitations? Sure. I still can't imagine great games without some button to push, but come on, look at all the things others outside have MS have gotten the Kinect to do. It's really technical innovation on a grand scale, even if they do come out with a Kinect 2 one day.
Kinect is an improved Eyetoy.
In the end the proof is the pudding. Something has to ultimately deliver (to the public) to be Worthwhile and until then it is nothing more than a sketchy what-if.
Go Move! lol
Kinect is not really new, it is a copy of the Eyetoy back in the PS2 days. Games like Antigrav and Kung Fu Live does what Kinect can do but more fun then any games currently released on Kinect. The Move can do true 1:1 motion tracking which no other motion controller currently on the market can. The Move is certainly better at gaming then Kinect as a device. I think Move has a really good chance at beating Kinect in technical innovation. This will be interesting will have to wait and see
