This Is Resistance 3's Boxart. Yes, We're Sure It's Not A Fan Mockup.

We haven't decided yet whether it's weird in an "OMG that's so awesome" or "OMG what were they thinking" kind of way. We'll leave that up to you. One thing's for sure: it's going to stand out on retail shelves like a sore-thumb. Which in many ways is a good thing.

The image, which depicts a Chimeran skull, was cooked up by British artist Olly Moss. We don't know anything about Olly, and being typical video game bloggers, we're not going to do any research either. In our head, Olly is one of those "yeah man" artsy types that's studying a dead-end art degree at Wolverhampton University while smoking weed and creating posters for Sony Computer Entertainment. Like, all at the same time.

The design, according to Insomniac's James Stevenson, depicts "that in Resistance 3, you are the Resistance. Resistance 3 isn’t a military shooter, as the United States Army and SRPA have been destroyed. Instead, R3 is about the remnants of humanity finding any way possible to survive in a brutal world."
