E3 2011: PlayStation Move Sales Hit 8.8 Million Worldwide

PlayStation Move Has Now Sold Just Shy Of Nine-Million Units.

Theres no question PlayStation Move brings something unique to the table for everyone, said SCEA boss Jack Tretton. The PlayStation Move catalogue is unmatched.

Sony demoed a new title called Medieval Moves as well as NBA 2K12 for the controller during its conference. It also announced support for a slew of titles including Bioshock Infinite and Star Trek.

Jack Tretton confirmed that the device has sold 8.8 million units to date, which is certainly not a number to be sniffed at.

Sony also revealed a $150 Sharpshooter bundle for Resistance 3, which includes a copy of the game, Sharpshooter controller, PlayStation Eye and Move controller.
