There's a touch of irony to PlayStation Vita getting cross-game chat ahead of PlayStation 3, but that's exactly what Sony announced this evening
The long anticipated PlayStation 3 feature will take the guise of an application called "Party", allowing users to communicate using headsets or the Vita's built-in microphone. Players will be able to chat regardless of what games they are playing or applications they are running.
