First the release was delayed worldwide after the Japanese earthquake. Then it released with no marketing right in the middle of the PlayStation Network outage in North America. Now it's been outright cancelled in Japan. The team must feel sick.
It's hard to argue with the game's cancellation in Japan, but it's a shame. We daresay there are a fair number of gamers in the region that would enjoy playing the apocalyptic racer in spite of recent events. But we suppose it's hard to promote a game like MotorStorm Apocalypse right now. If no one knows the game exists, what's the point in putting it out?
The good news for Japanese gamers is that the PlayStation 3 is region-free. You can always import a copy.
