Me — a "new software application that runs on the PS3 system and gives researchers, students, and programmers access to PlayStation Moves technology for developing apps beyond traditional gaming" — will launch today as part of the US PlayStation Store update.
Move.Me will allow students and researchers to use a PlayStation 3, PlayStation Move, PlayStation Eye and PC to create new applications using similar tools to those Sony makes available to developers creating games for PS3.
The tool will be available for free to students and academic staff via Academia. Those interested can apply for Academia membership via this link. For everyone else, Move.Me will cost $99.99 from the PlayStation Store.
