We know because we spent about three years of our life dabbling in song writing and music production. But Sound Shapes — the latest PlayStation Vita title from Jonathan Mak — makes the whole process look easy.

The game combines music composition with level design, meaning you're able to create songs and simple platforming levels at the same time. Those levels can then be shared online via the PlayStation Network, allowing everyone to witness your creativity.

The game is perfectly suited to the PlayStation Vita's variety of input features, allowing you to place objects with the touch-screen and manipulate them with the rear panel.
