The developer is famous for its involvement with Gears Of War and, more specifically, the Unreal Engine.
The news comes via a recruitment call on the developer's website, which states: "Epic Games is looking for Gameplay Programmers to join the team currently working on Gears of War 3, as well as a new unannounced IP in development."
Despite Epic's close relationship with Microsoft, we'd be surprised if the company maintained exclusivity ties with the platform holder outside of Gears. After all, it's more beneficial that the company's technology is demonstrated on as many platforms as possible.
