We know Vita is pushed back to 2012, and we've been taking a look at the implications of the delay in a series of recent features, but now we've come to terms that the console won't be sitting under any Western Christmas trees this year, with a six month wait looking likely.
According to newsletters sent out by various departments of Sony Computer Entertainment Europe, the console will find its way to retailers across the continent in February or March 2012. Interestingly, Sony UK is the only division to stick to "early 2012", with others going for a more precise February or March.
Hopefully we'll find out some solid information about the release date at Gamescom 2011 this week.

no way uk first
Nice! Looks like I cancel those time crystals I ordered online...
I'm betting for the same week release between the US and UK.
I never understood why Europe gets shafted with release dates all the time. I mean, Playstation does better in Europe than in the US, so shouldn't their release dates show that they acknowledge that more PS supporters are in Europe?
