Namco Bandai teased us earlier this month with the promise of a PS Vita Tales of game, and is making good on the gesture by officially unveiling Tales of Innocence R for PS Vita.
The "R" in the title may as well stand for "re-imagining," as the game will be a complete revamp of the original DS release. The game will be rebuilt with an all-new combat system, extra content and new characters. Expect more details on the game in the near future.

Blast, guess that tip I sent wasn't necessary. Oh well. I'm glad you guys covered this, this is the biggest news for me. I enjoyed ToI, though it could definitely use the improvements. Since Namdai is actually giving us Tales of games now, I could see this coming in a hypothetical round 2. If not I can always import
@MickeyMac, Haha, I sent one for UMvC3, guess these guys really did have it covered!
Problem is will this eve get localized. Since the DS version never did (unless I missed it which I doubt because I kinda had my eye on ToI).
Tales of Hearts is another game missing.
^You have a good point, but I'm pretty confident in it, actually. Namdai is doing much better than they were when the DS version came out, and they're actually localizing Tales games now. I'd be more surprised if we didn't get it.
I'll just wait for confirmation of localization before getting excited.
Honestly, I would've had a new mothership Tales games exclusive to Vita. Something with a battle system resembling Graces and an art style/presentation of Vesperia or Xillia would be JRPG heaven for me
Now, not to detract from this at all. This looks fabulous as well, I missed out on Innocence earlier and the R at the end seems to take after Graces F with additional content. If this comes to the US, it'll only reaffirm my decision to get a Vita on day one
This should be interesting sense I have decided to take a chance at rpg's.
