PlayStation Suite Seems Like A Great Idea, But It's Taking A Long Time To Materialise.

Make no mistake, we think the philosophy of the platform is a strong one, but with the program only set to go into "limited beta" next month, it's taking a long time to get off the ground.

SCE's Shigeru Sugimoto outlined the roadmap for the initiative at a GDC Online panel watched by Joystiq. The rollout of the SDK will start next month, with a limited number of budding developers given access to the Android version and a PC based "simulator".

Vita development will be implemented during the open beta stage, with a date yet to be announced. PS3 support will be included further down the line.
