Playlogic Games and Two Tribes have announced that they will be bringing popular puzzle platformer Toki Tori to the European PlayStation Network during "holiday season".

Toki Tori was originally released on Game Boy Color way back in 2001, but in recent years enhanced remakes have been seen on Nintendo WiiWare, PC, iPod and Android. Now it's Sony's turn, with the game being put up for download for PlayStation 3 with yet more additions to its name: PlayStation Move support, 16 new levels and 3D compatibility.

Playlogic CEO Roger Smit seems assured that these extras will shift this version of Toki Tori right up the pecking order:

Toki Tori will be the first of many quality titles we will release via PlayStation Network and other digital distribution platforms. Players must guide Toki Tori through 90+ levels in a journey to rescue the eggs of his unborn younger siblings, which have been swept away towards a mysterious castle. Along the way several items are available to help overcome the often bird brain-boggling puzzles.

Toki Tori will roost on PlayStation Network sometime this winter; we'll cluck as soon as we know more.

Toki Tori has been enhanced in many ways creating a new experience for PlayStation®3 owners. Playlogic has recreated the game for PlayStation®3 in cooperation with Two Tribes and implemented extra content, Move Controller and 3D support.
