Ubisoft's Abu Dhabi Branch Will Be The First Major Studio In The Region.

The studio will initially focus its attention on online games in collaboration with other Ubisoft studios, but will eventually branch out into creating original titles targeted at local and international audiences.

Ubisoft veteran, and former Ubisoft Shanghai gaffer, Yannick Theler will manage the studio. Ubisoft said: "Abu Dhabi's excellent technological infrastructure and quality training institutions and its long-term commitment to create a thriving regional media and entertainment industry were key factors in the decision for Ubisoft to establish a new studio in the Middle East."
