The game — which is set to get a re-announcement in the next issue of Official PlayStation Magazine — has been missing in action for a good couple of years now.

And the plot continues to thicken. Shugenobu Matsyuama has announced his resignation as producer of the project, confirming that he has moved onto another division within developer Kojima Productions. Yuji Korekado has reportedly taken the role — though it's unclear if the entire development team has been replaced.

Hideo Kojima has promised to "reveal the secrets" about the game at next month's VGA awards ceremony.

It's going to be an interesting month.
