Saints Row: The Third Is Too Crazy For Japan

Publisher THQ has confirmed that Japan will receive a slightly watered down version of its zany crime sim, Saints Row: The Third

The publisher claimed that the game's craziness is a little too much for Japanese tastes. This being the country that can propel an AKB48 dating game to the top of the software charts.

One of the things that will be censored in the Japanese version of Saints Row: The Third is its "Penetrator" weapon — the, errr, big purple dildo that's popped up in previous screenshots and trailers.

Other tweaks include the toning down of graphic violence, with decapitations completely removed from the game.

Thankfully the PlayStation 3 is region-free, so if you want you're Japanese and you want your Saints Row: The Third experience to be pure, simply hit that import button ASAP.
